  • 2. has your device SIM card had Caller Identity enabled? If not you need to enable it by contacting your network provider. This is a common problem for Vodacom SIMs on the Messenger Package - you can check if your SIM is on Messenger Package by looking at the device's network balance message

  • 3. Check that you are an Access/Switch Number and under the IO Settings for the output the Activate by Missed Call checkbox is checked

Synchronisation

[Collapse/Expand]
My device is not syncing. What could be wrong?

If your Sync times out while Waiting for Device check the following

  • 1. Is your device powered up with 12V-24V? Even if there is some power but not enough voltage the LEDs will be on but SMSs will not send

  • 2. Does your device have network coverage

  • 3. Is your SIM card registered and the mobile number is correct?

  • 4. Does the SIM card have network credit? In order to Sync it will need to connect to the internet so make sure it doesn't just have an SMS bundle

  • 5. Is the device password correct?

  • 6. Is the device hardware correct? Check that the IMEI Number in General Settings matches the one on the board

  • 7. Are there currently problems with the network operator? GSM is a "best effort" service and unfortunately sometimes the networks have problems

If it fails during the actual Sync check the following

  • 1. The network coverage could be intermittent

  • 2. Network credit has just run out

  • 3. Corrupt data on device - use SMS Commands to Reset All and try Syncing again
